IHP Dispatch #315-2013 post Pt 3- TMNT Weekend Sketch Style

In June of 2011, I got lucky and landed a dream job- Character Designer on the Nickelodeon reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  It’s one of the most exciting, yet the most challenging job I’ve ever  had. For real. It’s pretty hard. Two and a half years and a load of  designs later, I’m still there and still getting my butt kicked. The  ultra talented TMNT crew at Nick is constantly raising the bar, thus  keeping me on my toes every step of the way. To help with this, I  thought it would be a fun idea to draw the characters I was assigned in  my own style and hopefully become familiar with the subject before  moving on with the character turns. I did a couple Weekend Sketch  style character sheets for these dudes before realizing that time is of  the essence, and I really need to get moving on the actual turns. Click on the images below for a larger version.

Chong a.k.a spyroach this one was a bit of a fail. Didn't really get anywhere with it.
Chong a.k.a Cockroach Terminator A This is more like it...
Chong a.k.a Cockroach Terminator B this is the molted version of Cockroach Terminator A
This is Justin, he's a Kraang experiment
And finally, we have the Kraang Serpent a.k.a Sheldon the Sensual Sea Serpent
These pages were fun. I should make these retroactively, for all the  fun characters I’ve designed since these. Trust me, there’s a lot of fun  creatures showing up in the coming seasons. These characters are from season 01. The show is currently airing its  second season, with new episodes to return February 2nd 2014. 11:00 am  (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
